Christmas Gift Guide 2018

Can you believe its 6 weeks until Christmas? Apologies if that nearly made you fall off your seat, I’m a huge lover of Christmas and even I feel like it’s creeped up very quickly this year. 2018 has just flown by!

Chances are you may be going into panic mode trying to think of gifts for friends and family, so I’m here to try and help. I’ve put together a Christmas Gift Guide, which I’m hoping will give you some Christmas gift inspiration, whether you’re buying for a parent, sibling, grandparent, work colleague, best friend etc.

Yankee Candles

Nothing is better than a Yankee Candle. They are good quality, great smelling, long lasting and most importantly, affordable, making them a great gift to give. I’ve lost track of the amount of people who have said they’d like a new candle for Christmas this year.Yankee Candle have released the most delicious smelling Christmas collection, such as Frosty Gingerbread, Christmas Wish and Winter Wonder. My personal favourite Christmas scent is the Christmas Cookie candle, it is simply divine. In the Christmas collection you’ll find candle accessories, gift set and advents calendars. The smallest sized candles start from £1, making a perfect stocking filler, the largest sized candle is priced at £23.99.

The Marvel Universe has dominated 2018, the buzz has been inescapable. Kids and adults, men and women just can’t get enough of the Avengers Team. DVD’s still make a great Christmas gift, and with 3 Marvel films released this year you have plenty to choose from. Black Panther and Avengers Infinity War, released earlier in the year both made it into the top 10 highest grossing films of all time and are defiantly ones to watch. You can currently pick Avengers up from your local supermarket for £10, and Black Panther for only £7.The latest film in the Marvel Universe series, Ant Man and the Wasp will be released on DVD Monday 3rd December, it’s as witty and funny as the first Ant Man installment, so if you know someone who likes the mix of action and comedy, this is the gift for you.

Disney Plush Toy

Whether you’re male or female, 4 or 40, everyone enjoys receiving a teddy for Christmas. Especially now Disney is fully stocked with Marvel and Star Wars characters, as well as your favourite Disney classics and Pixar friends. So whether you’re little sister is obsessed with Frozen, you’re best friend can’t stop singing Moana or you’re Dad likes to think he’s Yoda, the Disney store has something for everyone. Disney Plush’s range from small stocking sized toys for under £10, through to giant life sized teddies at £40+. Best of all, you can pay a small fee to have your Disney Plush gift wrapped, the staff will wrap your plush up in Mickey tissue paper, filled with golden Mickey head confetti and put inside a lovely gift box.

Have a Personal Drawing Created Of a Special Place

If you’re looking for something a little more personal this year I have the perfect Christmas gift for you, talented artist Karishma (London Life Drawing Girl) will create a sketch style drawing or painting of a building or place that is personal to you or a loved one, just tell her what you would like drawn and she will create a masterpiece. So why not gift your spouse with a drawing of the place you met, where you got engaged, married etc. How about surprise a grandparent with a drawing of the house they grew up in? How about having a sketch created of your favourite place in the world – such as Disney World.Karishma’s work is customized to exactly what you want, this is a chance to purchase something completely personalized. With prices starting from £40 you can get a piece of art for your home that will last forever.

Karishma is kindly offering a 10% discount off your first order using the promo code NIC (excluding postage)

Cineworld Vouchers

Now this may seem like a bit of a cop out gift and not everyone likes to give vouchers, but I’ll give you a few reasons why cinema vouchers make a fab Christmas present. They are great for those family members who are difficult to buy for, which won’t leave you pulling your hair out trying to come up a gift idea. Know a big Disney/Harry Potter/Marvel nut? Get them a cinema voucher so they are ready for when the next film installment comes out. For the people who don’t need more ‘stuff’ they can enjoy a voucher and not have to worry about finding a place for it at home and finally you may know someone who is trying to save money or a family with kids who simply can’t afford to treat themselves, so why not gift a trip to the cinema and give them chance to have some much needed quality time, this makes for the perfect gift in my opinion.I always recommend buying cinema vouchers for Cineworld as this cinema tends to be the most affordable. Cineworld also do gifts such as the Christmas Gift Box, which contains 2 film vouchers, 2 soft drinks, 1 regular popcorn and 2 candy canes or pack of humbugs all for £25. If you really want to treat your film loving friend you can purchase the Unlimited Gift Box, which contains a Cineworld unlimited card, a year of unlimited cinema. Quite often you’ll find that your local Cineworld will be on a complex with restaurants, bowling etc. making for the perfect day out that your loved ones will be thank you for.
